The Greek Politics Specialist Group is pleased to share the following news and details about calls for papers, research opportunities, and events:
 

GPSG NEWS

1. GPSG Joint Conference – Call for Papers: The Greek Politics Specialist Group (GPSG), in conjunction with the Italian, Spanish & Turkish Politics Specialist Groups,  the ECPR Standing Group on Southern European Politics, and the Aston Centre for Europe are organising ‘The State of Democracy in Southern Europe: Decline or Resilience’ conference at Aston University, on 25-26 June 2020.
Paper titles and abstracts of 150-200 words, along with author names, institutional affiliation and contact details, should be sent here by Monday 16 March 2020.
Limited amount of travel funding may be available.

2. GPSG – Call for Working Papers: The Greek Politics Specialist Group (GPSG) invites Working Papers. We particularly encourage papers by young academics and researchers (including PhD candidates) on comparative, cross-disciplinary and collaborative research, as well as papers featuring original ideas and empirical data. All methodological and epistemological approaches based on sound social science reasoning are welcome. Selected papers will be published in the GPSG Working Paper series.

3. Publication of GPSG Study: The Greek Politics Specialist Group (GPSG) announced earlier this week the publication of a comparative research study on ‘new’ and ‘old’ migrants in Greece, in collaboration with diaNEOsis and Kapa Research. You can read the report here.

1. Παρουσιάσεις Βιβλίου: Οι Εκδόσεις Παπαδόπουλος και τα Public σας προσκαλούν στις παρουσιάσεις βιβλίου του Ρωμανού Γεροδήμου “Ανταποκρίσεις από τον 21ο Αιώνα”:

RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES
 

1. Onassis Foundation – Special Grant and Support Program for Scholars’ Association Members: The Onassis Foundation announces the 20th Special Grant and Support Program for Scholars’ Association Members for the academic year 2020-21.The program awards the following grants
I. One grant for publication of a PhD thesis.
II. Two grants for funding Post-Doc Research in Greece or other countries worldwide.

2. Ελληνικό Ίδρυμα Έρευνας & Καινοτομίας: Το Ελληνικό Ίδρυμα Έρευνας & Καινοτομίας (ΕΛΙΔΕΚ) προσκαλεί ενδιαφερόμενα Μέλη ΔΕΠ και τους/τις ενδιαφερόμενους/ες Ερευνητές/τριες να υποβάλουν προτάσεις στο πλαίσιο της «2ης Προκήρυξης Ερευνητικών Έργων ΕΛ.ΙΔ.Ε.Κ. για την ενίσχυση Μελών ΔΕΠ και Ερευνητών/τριών», σύμφωνα με τους όρους και τις προϋποθέσεις που παρουσιάζονται στην προκήρυξη.

CALL FOR PAPERS

1. Standing Group on Southern European Politics – ECPR General Conference: The Standing Group on Southern European Politics welcomes paper and panel proposals for the Section “Continuity and Change in Southern European Politics” at the ECPR General Conference at the University of Innsbruck (August 26-28, 2020).
The Academic Programme is available on the ECPR website here.
You can submit your panel and paper proposals via the online submission system available here.
Deadline: 19 February 2020, midnight UK time.

2. International Conference in Athens: The Department of Political Science and International Relations – University of the Peloponnese, the National Centre for Research on Europe – University of Canterbury, and the Centre for South-East European Studies – University of Graz are jointly organising “The Future of EU Enlargement and Partnership Policies: EU Actorness in South-Eastern Europe and the Eastern Neighbourhood” international conference in Athens on 25-26 May 2020.
Scholars are encouraged to submit abstracts of about 250 words including their name, title and affiliation to the conference administrative coordinator, Ms. Eleni Georgoulia, by 10 February 2020.
