GPSG-BSA Webinar – Monday 19/4, 17.00-18.00 (GMT): The third webinar of the GPSG/BSA research webinar series on Modern Greek Studies will take place on Monday 19 April 2021, 17.00-18.00 (GMT). Dr Antonis A. Ellinas, Associate Professor at the University of Cyprus will give a talk on Right-wing extremism and antifascist mobilization in Greece. GPSG Working Paper #34: GPSG is pleased to announce the publication of Working Paper #34 titled ‘The EU’s Response to the Covid-19 Pandemic: Policies of Integration, Recovery and Resilience’, authored by Alexandros Kyriakidis. The paper offers an analysis of the EU’s socioeconomic response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the broader effects of that response on the theorizing of the EU integration process. GPSG Webinar – Monday, 17/5, 14:00 (GMT): The Greek Specialist Politics Group (GPSG) of the Political Studies Association (UK) and the Center for Research on Democracy and Law of the University of Macedonia (Greece) are co-organizing an online webinar titled “The EU’s Response to the Covid-19 Pandemic: Policies of Integration, Recovery and Resilience” on Monday, 17 May, 14.00 (GMT), with Dr. Alexandros Kyriakidis, Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Macedonia (Greece), as the speaker. The webinar will feature the results of research conducted by Dr. Kyriakidis and funded by the GPSG, as presented in the GPSG’s Working Paper no. 34, on the EU’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic (EURI, RRF, etc.), and their impact on the process, direction and theorizing of EU integration. Assoc. Prof. Stella Ladi (Panteion University, Greece; Queen Mary University of London, UK), will discuss the results of the research, and Assist. Prof. Panagiota Manoli (University of Peloponnese, Greece) will chair the webinar. The webinar will be conducted in English, and will be streamed live, freely accessible and with no registration, on Facebook.
