· We strongly condemn the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine and the killing of the people of Ukraine by armed forces of the Russian Federation that constitutes a blunt violation of the fundamental rules of international law enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations.
· Our European continent and people have paid a high price in human life for our generation to live in freedom, peace and in a rules-based world.
· As social scientists and as people we firmly stand by the values of freedom, peace and justice, we oppose violence and we urge our societies to unite in defending the free world.
· We stand resolutely in solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
